Hello, my name is Paul Peace. 

I was elected as President in November to complete the 2009/2010 term for Matt Young and to lead the club into the 2010/2011 seasons.  My family and I are moving to San Antonio, Texas to persue employment. 

I would like to thank all of the past and current board members for their support of me and for supporting and mentoring those who have volunteered to take their places in key positions in the club.

We have had unique opportunity to establish the future direction of the MSC, as a comittee has been working on revising and updating the Policies that govern our volunteer efforts to bring competitive soccer to the Monroe community.  I am pleased to announce that throughout May a review of the documents had ocurred and at the June 21st MSC Meeting both the new Policy and Bylaw documents were approved by the Board. 

Please join me in congratulating the comittee members on their tireless efforts to compile years of MSC collective wisdom into a pair of consise documents.  It is my hope that these documents will establish a solid foundation for the continued operation of the club.

Parents please encourage your children to take advantage of the unparalled opportunity they will have to view soccer in its highest form during the World Cup hosted by South Africa.  The US National Team has advanced to the round of sixteen in exciting fashion.  I hope you all were all witness to it.

As I look forward to a smoking hot August in Texas I want to wish each of you a wonderful summer and a successful fall season for the young men and women that find joy in playing soccer.  Please join me in encouraging that joy and supporting both the players and our volunteer officials in a positive manner at home and on the road.
